The Early Days Line
This phone line is for anyone needing information on the emotical, physical and social changes involved in the transition to parenthood and life with a new baby. Calls are answered by trained NCT Postanatal Leaders. The NCT is aiming to build up its knowledge and experience of callers' needs in preparation of setting up a full-fledged helpline. The NEW Shared Experiences Line This NEW phone line is to support families who have had a difficult experience during pregnancy, birth or those first few years after their baby is born. Mums or Dads who have had a difficult time can talk to someone through the Shared Experiences Helpline and share their worries or concerns with a listening ear. Parents are put in touch with volunteers who have experienced the same specific difficulties, problems, or worries themselves. Parents are also given information and contact details for relevant support groups and charities. The Helpline covers all subjects including miscarriage, postnatal depression, bereavement, stillbirth, disability, behavioural problems, sleep issues, colic, health problems and pregnancy after infertility - in fact any issue that affects parents and parents-to-be. Babycare TENS The NCT has been offering the TENs machine for hire for many years now, and Babycare TENS donates £5 to NCT for every hire, raising valuable funds. Help support the NCT and hire yours now from Babycare TENS! Northants Miscarriage Support Group 'Miscarriage can be a very unhappy, frightening and lonely experience and approximately one in four pregrnancies ends in miscarriage. The Northants Miscarriage Association Support Group was set up in January 2010, due to a lack of much needed support in the Northants area for women and couples that have experienced pregnancy loss. The group is endorsed by 'The Miscarriage Association' and offers support and advice to those that have experienced a miscarraige, ectopic pregnancy, or molar pregnancy recently or in the past. The group meet on a monthly basis and is open to anyone that has experienced pregnancy loss.
